1. Stage 1a – Fit Gas Lift Mechanisms (Open From Left)
1. Confirm that the bed will open from the left side when viewed from the footboard.
2. Position both gas lift mechanisms on the right-hand side of the headboard and footboard.
3. Align the mechanisms with the holes marked (R) and the blue labels.
4. Insert Bolt (A) with Spring Washer (B) and Flat Washer (C) through each fixing point.
5. Ensure all bolts sit in the centre of the long adjustment slots.
6. Tighten the bolts lightly using the Allen Key (D), allowing for adjustment later.
7. Super King only: Fit the Base Support Bracket (M) in the position shown, using Bolt (A), Spring Washer (B), and Flat Washer (C).
2. Stage 1b – Fit Gas Lift Mechanisms (Open From Right)
1. Confirm that the bed will open from the right side when viewed from the footboard.
2. Position both gas lift mechanisms on the left-hand side of the headboard and footboard.
3. Align the mechanisms with the holes marked (L) and the red labels.
4. Insert Bolt (A) with Spring Washer (B) and Flat Washer (C) through each fixing point.
5. Ensure all bolts sit in the centre of the long adjustment slots.
6. Tighten the bolts lightly using the Allen Key (D), allowing for adjustment later.
7. Super King only: Fit the Base Support Bracket (M) in the position shown, using Bolt (A), Spring Washer (B), and Flat Washer (C).
3. Stage 2 – Fit Brackets to the Side Rails
1. Place Side Rail - RH (3) and Side Rail - LH (4) on a flat surface with the fixing holes facing upward.
2. Position Corner Hook Bracket - Left (E) and Corner Hook Bracket - Right (F) at the corresponding ends of each side rail, as shown in the diagram.
3. Attach Support Bracket (G) to the indicated position on each side rail.
4. Secure all brackets using Bolt (A) with Spring Washer (B) and Flat Washer (C).
5. Insert the bolts through the brackets and into the side rails, then tighten lightly using the Allen Key (D).
6. Ensure all brackets are correctly aligned and sitting flush against the side rails.
7. Do not fully tighten the bolts at this stage.
4. Stage 3 – Assemble the Bed Frame and Square the Structure
1. Attach the Side Rail - RH (3) and Side Rail - LH (4) to the Headboard (1) and Footboard (2) using the pre-fitted corner hook brackets.
2. Insert Bolt (A) with Spring Washer (B) and Flat Washer (C) into all fixing points and tighten loosely at first using the Allen Key (D).
3. Check that the bed frame is correctly aligned and fully squared, ensuring all corners are straight and even as shown in the diagram.
4. Once the frame is square, fully tighten all bed assembly bolts to 100% using the Allen Key (D).
5. Stage 4 – Connect the Long Connection Cable
1. Locate the long connection cable (L) coming from the lift mechanism at the headboard end.
2. Route the cable along the inside of the bed frame towards the opposite lift mechanism.
3. Connect the cable ends together by pushing the connectors firmly until they are fully seated.
4. Ensure the connectors are properly aligned and securely locked in place.
5. Check that the cable is routed neatly and is not twisted, trapped, or in contact with any moving parts of the lift mechanism.
6. Stage 5 – Connect the Power Supply and Controls
1. Connect the power cable (K) to the power inlet on the bed frame and plug the other end into a wall socket.
2. Ensure the power supply is properly earthed for safety.
3. Switch the power supply to the ON position.
4. On each side of the headboard, locate the control panel with two buttons (UP and DOWN).
5. Note that, for safety, the system is always locked by default.
6. Refer to the Ottoman Operation Guide and follow the instructions in the indicated step before operating the lift mechanism.
7. Stage 6 – Fit Metal Plates and Prepare the Lower Mattress Base Board
1. Place the Mattress Base Board - Lower (9) on a flat surface with the underside facing up.
2. Position the Metal Plates for Connecting Mattress Boards (H) onto the marked fixing points on the mattress base board, aligning them with the pre-drilled holes.
3. Insert Bolt (A) with Spring Washer (B) and Flat Washer (C) through each metal plate and into the board.
4. Tighten all bolts using the Allen Key (D) until the metal plates are securely fixed.
5. Ensure the LED strip is correctly positioned along the board and that the LED cable is routed neatly through the marked cable holes (L) and (R).
6. Check that all fixings are secure and that no cables are trapped or pinched before continuing to the next step.
8. Stage 7 – Connect the LED Light Cable
1. Release the LED power cable from the cable holder as shown.
2. Depending on the opening direction of the bed, connect the LED light cable to the correct port:
- If opening from the right: Connect the LED light cable to (L), which will be on the left side of the bed nearest to the headboard (A) when standing behind the footboard.
- If opening from the left: Connect the LED light cable to (R), which will be on the right side of the bed nearest to the headboard (A) when standing behind the footboard.
3. Rotate the mattress base board 180° as shown to confirm the correct orientation before proceeding.
4. Ensure the cable is routed neatly and is not trapped or twisted.
9. Stage 8 – Secure the Lift Mechanism to the Lower Mattress Base Board
1. Carefully raise the Mattress Base Board - Lower (9) to access the fixing points on the lift mechanism arms.
2. Align the slots in the lift mechanism with the corresponding holes in the mattress base board, as shown in the diagram.
3. Insert Bolt (A) with Spring Washer (B) and Flat Washer (C) through each fixing point.
4. Tighten the bolts using the Allen Key (D), ensuring the bolts sit centrally within the long adjustment slots.
5. Once aligned, tighten all fixings to approximately 90 percent, allowing smooth movement of the lift mechanism without binding.
6. Check that both sides operate evenly and that the mattress base moves freely before proceeding to the next step.
10. Stage 9 – Secure the Upper Mattress Base Board
1. Lift the Mattress Base Board - Upper (10) into position on top of the lift mechanisms.
2. Align the fixing slots in the mattress base board with the corresponding holes on the lift arms.
3. Insert Bolt (A) with Spring Washer (B) and Flat Washer (C) through each fixing point as shown.
- For Double and King, use 1 fixing point per side.
- For Super King, use 2 fixing points per side.
4. Attach the Metal Plates for Connecting Mattress Boards (H) to the underside of the mattress base board using the remaining bolts and washers.
5. Tighten all bolts securely using the Allen Key (D), ensuring the mattress base board is firmly fixed and moves smoothly with the lift mechanism.
11. Step 10 – Connect the Light and Fit the Mattress Stoppers
1. Use the same power supply cable coming from the headboard to connect to the LED light. The light can be connected on either the left side or the right side of the bed.
2. Align the connectors, push them together firmly, and twist clockwise until fully secured.
3. Fit the mattress stoppers (J) to the mattress base using bolts (I) and tighten using the Allen key (D).
12. Step 11 – Fit the Storage Base Boards
1. Place the Storage Base Boards (8) into the base of the bed as shown in the diagram, ensuring all boards sit flat and are correctly aligned to fully cover the storage area.
13. Step 12 – Prepare the Ventilation Panels
1. Rotate and orient the two ventilation panels (11) so they are correctly aligned for installation.
2. Make sure both panels are facing the correct direction, with the perforated section oriented inward, as shown in the diagram. Set them aside ready for fitting into the bed base.
14. Step 13 – Install the Ventilation Panels
1. Position the prepared ventilation panels (11) inside the bed base, aligning them with the pre-drilled holes on the inner side panels.
2. Secure each panel using the bolts (A) with washers (B) and (C), tightening them evenly to ensure the panels sit flush and stable against the frame.
15. Step 14 – Secure the Central Support Bracket
1. Attach the central support bracket (5) inside the bed base, aligning it with the designated fixing points.
2. Insert bolts (A) with washers (B) and (C) through the bracket and tighten securely using the Allen key (D).
3. Ensure the bracket is firmly fixed, as it provides additional structural support for the base during operation.
16. Step 15 – Electric Ottoman Operation Guide
1. For safety, the system is always locked.
2. On each side of the headboard there is a control station with two buttons, as shown in the diagram.
3. To unlock the system, press and hold both buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. You will hear a beep, which indicates that the system is now unlocked.
4. Once unlocked, raise or lower the platform by pressing and holding the appropriate UP or DOWN button. The platform will move only while the button is pressed.
5. To stop the movement, release the button. The platform will stop immediately.
6. After the platform stops, the system will automatically lock again after one minute.
7. To operate the ottoman again, repeat the unlocking procedure by pressing both buttons for 3 seconds.
Note: The control station includes Type A and Type C connections, as shown in the diagram.
17. Step 16 – Safety Information and Usage Warnings
Important Safety Notice
1. Please do not store anything inside the Metal Cable Guards (11), as they may become damaged.
CAUTION
1. To be operated by adults only.
2. Keep children or pets away from the storage area at all times.
3. Do not stand on the internal storage base panels.
4. Do not overload the internal storage area.
5. Do not sit or lie on the bed whilst the lift is in operation.
6. Always ensure the lifting mechanism is fully stationary before placing or removing items from the storage area.
18. Step 17 – Warnings: Mattress Base Boards
Important safety information for using the storage area
1. Be very careful what you store under the bed. The top of any stored item, such as a suitcase or box, must not touch the underside of the mattress base, as this may cause damage to the mechanism or boards.
2. Maximum item height: 260 mm.
3. To access the storage area safely, the ottoman frame must be fully opened and then fully closed afterwards.
4. Adult operation only. This product is not recommended for use by children under 12 years old.
5. Avoid entrapment. Only unlock and operate the button control when it is safe to do so.
6. Do not reach into the space below the mattress base or through the hinge mechanism.
7. Keep children and pets away from the storage area at all times.
8. Do not stand inside the internal storage area or on the mattress base boards.
9. Regularly inspect the bed to ensure it is functioning correctly.

19. Step 19a – Emergency Lowering (Power Cut)
1. In an emergency situation, such as a power cut, when the bed is already in the raised position, the bed frame can be lowered manually. Fit the fabric hand straps as shown in Steps 19b and 19c before proceeding.
2. For safety, this operation requires two people.
3. Unplug the power supply from the wall socket and remove the mattress and all bedding.
4. The first person must support the mattress base board.
5. If the base is already low, lift it to a safe working height.
6. If necessary, use a suitable prop under the frame to ensure safe working conditions.
7. The second person removes the two upper M10 motor nuts using the 17 mm spanner (Z) supplied in the hardware kit.
8. Do not stand inside the bed or on the storage base boards at any time during this procedure.
9. Carefully push the motor link off the pivot pins evenly and gently place it on top of the storage base board.
10. Using the fabric hand straps, slowly and carefully lower the mattress base into its lower resting position.
11. Keep hands clear of the side rails while lowering.
12. The base is heavy, so lower it with caution.

20. Step 19b – Remove Pre-Fitted Bolts from the Upper Mattress Base Board
1. Remove the four Big Head Bolts (M8×20 mm) that are pre-fitted to the Mattress Base Board - Upper (10).
2. Locate the four bolts positioned along the upper mattress base board.
3. Using the appropriate Allen key, fully unscrew and remove all four bolts.
4. Keep the bolts safe, as they will be required again during reassembly.
5. Ensure the mattress base is securely supported before removing the bolts to prevent any sudden movement.
21. Stage 19c – Fit Emergency Hand Straps
1. In an emergency or in case of power failure, follow these instructions and fit the two hand straps.
2. Attach the metal plate (X) to the fabric hand strap (Y) as shown.
3. Position each hand strap assembly onto the prepared fixing points on the mattress base board.
4. Secure the straps using the supplied fixings and tighten evenly.
5. Once both straps are fitted, tighten all bolt sets 100 percent using the Allen key (D).
6. The hand straps are now ready to be used to safely lower the mattress base by hand during an emergency.
22. Step 19d – Manually Lower the Mattress Base Using Hand Straps
1. Remove the mattress and all bedding from the bed before continuing.
2. Using the hand straps fitted in the previous steps, carefully support the mattress base. With two people, gently guide the mattress base downwards using the straps, lowering it evenly until it reaches its fully closed resting position.
3. Ensure hands and fingers are kept clear of the side rails and hinge areas at all times while lowering. Do not allow the base to drop suddenly. Once fully lowered, proceed to Step 19e to complete the procedure safely.
